The Soul Always Remembers is a soul-stirring multi-genre tale of a southern romance that will captivate fans of The Notebook, The Time Traveler’s Wife, and Outlander in this atypical love story about the transcending love between soul mates.
My name is Caroline Beaumont. I appear to have it all––beauty, a successful career, friends and family who adore me.
But I have a secret.
I was four years old when the past began reaching out to me. Sometimes it came to me as a voice in my head. Other times, it presented as a vision of a lovely redhead and handsome dark-haired man from decades ago.
The doctors call it schizophrenia.
They’re wrong.
I have something else. Something that doesn’t have a name. Something that modern medicine can’t explain.
And I’m ready to embrace it.

Excerpt from The Soul Always Remembers
The boatbuilder stands and his chair slides across the floor, bumping into the tips of my new white leather T-straps with Spanish heel.
“Watch it, Frank. The prettiest girl in the room is behind you. I’m sure she’d like to keep all of her toes.”
The man whose hair is thick, dark, and wavy turns around. “Pardon me, miss. I––” His words trail off when our eyes meet. “I… I wasn’t aware that you were standing behind me.”
“It’s okay. No harm done.”
An intense déjà vu pulsates through my veins when I look into those eyes the color of Madrid-blue Depression glass. It’s the first time I’m seeing them and yet it feels as though I’ve stared into them a million times before.
The first time or the millionth? I’m not sure which. But beyond the eyes, something deep inside of me recognizes something deep inside of him. And it feels… sacred.
